Censorum is a system designed to manage examinations involving external examiners at higher education institutions in Denmark. The system handles the entire process, from applications to become an external examiner, assessment and approval of professional qualifications by the external examiner board, and official appointments, to the actual allocation of examination assignments and submission of examination reports.
Censorum has seven main user roles: Administrator (typically staff responsible for the administration of one or more external examiner corps), Coordinator (typically staff responsible for creating examination bookings at educational institutions), External Examiner, Examiner, External Examiner Board, Application Reviewer, and Quality Consultant.
Censorum automatically allocates external examiners to examination assignments using an algorithm that takes several factors into account, including geographical distance, examiner qualifications, fair distribution of assignments, and more.
